Masaki Cherry Women’s Fragrance

Cherry blossom season is an important and symbolic time of year in Japan. It marks the end of winter and the rebirth of nature with deep philosophical meanings: The cherry blossom (sakura) represents absolute beauty and is a reminder of the ephemeral nature of life, and the cherry fruit is a symbol of harmony. It’s only natural that Japanese designer Masaki Matsushima captured this facet of his country’s culture and rendered it in a conceptual perfume. It is quite a challenge to create a feminine fragrance that is based on the cherry without it falling into the category of edible scents used in liquors or candies. Jean Jacques, Masaki’s “nose,” managed this subtle combination of the mat; base with a cherry top and blossom heart.
